Friendship Bracelets

Princess Celestia was sitting patiently on her throne awaiting for her royal guard to get back from the Crystal empire. Suddenly the doors opened and there galloping toward her was the Royal Pegasus guard with a black box on his back that had unknown symbols engrave on it and a blood red lock.

‘’Your highness, we have retrieved the box that holds the black crown of King Sombra’s father’‘ the white Pegasus said while bowing before his princess.

‘’Thank the sun you got this before it could  fall in the wrong hoofs.’‘ The princess said sweetly as she used her magic to levitate the box of her loyal guard’s back and then proceeded to the castle vault. As she got to the vault she then used her magic to open all seven of magic barriers that only her magic can take down. She then placed the black box on the pedestal and used her magic to remake her barriers. She then shut the Vault hoping all would be well.

Three days later.

The moon was full and bright as it lit the dark skies, while the stars glimmered in the vast beauty of the night. All of Ponyville where indoors getting ready for the next day. However at Sugarcube Corner there was a party going on. There where streamers and balloons of every shape, size, and color. On a pink table where cakes, cupcakes, ice-cream, and candy spread out with punch in the middle of it all. Above the table was a huge banner that read ‘’Happy Best Friend Day Party’‘ on it in bold black paint. This was a very special day for it was Friend Day and ponies everywhere celebrated this happy day. But this party was for Twilight Sparkle and her wonderful friends.. She was celebrating this happy day with her five best friends. Rainbow Dash a Pegasus who was drinking apple cider with Applejack a Earth pony. There was Fluttershy another  Pegasus who was dancing with Pinkie Pie who was also a Earth Pony.. By the punch bowl was Rarity a unicorn talking with Twilight Sparkle who to was a unicorn.

‘’Darling won’t you please help me with my dress for Pony Gaga? She is simple the Queen pony of pop and I need your help.’‘ Rarity asked with glee.

‘’Of course I will. I’ll come tomorrow after I eat breakfast.’‘ Twilight said with a smile.

Rarity was pleased to hear this and they continued the conversation. It was starting to get late and everypony was about to call it a night until Rarity remembered that she had a gift for them She used her magic to levitate six rainbow color bracelets out of her own Saddle bag. Each one had their respective cutie mark on it. She handed them to each of her friends as they where pleased with the gifts

. ‘’I was inspired by my little sister today. She and her friends made friendship bracelets in art class today. This is for four years of wonderful friendship and to many more’‘ Rarity said with a smile as she enjoyed the looks on her friends faces. They all gathered around for one last group hug before heading out.

The next day

It was a nice summer morning and not a cloud in the sky. Twilight was awoken by the sound of the birds chirping by her window. As she looked at them with a smile she began to stretched and yawn. She then got out of bed to fix her mane. While brushing her mane she remembered that she was going to see Rarity this morning to help with the dress. But first she had to eat breakfast first. After she got done she went down stairs and saw Spike in his pink apron with ‘’# 1 dragon’‘ on it. He just got done making oatmeal with blueberries and place both their bowls on the table to eat.

‘’Good morning Twi Sleep well?’‘ Spike asked while putting a spoonful of oatmeal in his mouth.

‘’Why yes I did but I have to hurry and eat so I can go help Rarity with her dress’’ Twilight said sitting down  to eat her oatmeal.

Spiked look at her with a confused look on his face. As soon as he got done swallowing his food he ask who was Rarity? Twilight almost choked when she heard this.

‘’Rarity, you know the pony you have the hots for?’‘ Twilight said with concern in her eyes.

Spike still didn’t understand who she was talking about and continued to eat his oatmeal. Twilight got a little annoyed by this and assumed that Spike was mad at Rarity for some reason and was acting like a child by pretending she didn’t exist.  

As they got done eating Spike grabbed both their bowls and then went to the sink to wash them. Twilight went to grab her saddle bag from up stairs and asked Spike to come with her to the boutique to see Rarity. Spike finished washing their bowls and agreed to go with her to see Rarity.

Twilight rushed to the boutique not wanting to keep Rarity waiting for long. As she got there she knocked on the door three time, but no answer. After about a minute the door open and there was Sweetie Belle a young unicorn.

. ‘O hi Sweetie Belle, is Rarity home?’‘ Twilight asked looking at the adorable filly.

But Sweetie Belle looked at her in confusion.

‘’Who is Rarity?’‘ Sweetie Belle asked.

Twilight looked confused by this and reminded her who she was. But Sweetie Belle, just like Spike was clueless to who Rarity was. Twilight then came into the boutique to look around. Rarity’s furniture was still there but no sign of Rarity. Twilight had a feeling in her stomach that something was wrong. So she went upstairs to Rarity’s room. As she got there it looked fine. The bed was made and everything was in order. But on the night stand there was her bracelet and a picture. Twilight walked up to the picture and gasped at what she saw. It was a photo of Sweetie Belle and her mom and dad at the beach. But there was no Rarity in the picture. Twilight was in shock at to what she just witness. Rarity was not there as if she was never born.

‘’I always wanted a older sister to go to the Sisterhooves Social with.’‘ Sweetie said with a sad look on her face looking at the floor.

Twilight looked at the sad filly in disbelief. Because she new that she and Rarity did go to the Sisterhooves social together. It was that day that brought them closer together. She new that Rarity loved Sweetie Belle more then her own pride. Twilight then began to think as to who or what did this. The only enemies she new Rarity had where the Diamond Dogs. But they lacked magic and intellect to pull something like this. But she did come to the conclusion that who ever kidnaped her must want her and used a memory erasing spell. But why did she remember and not Spike or Sweetie Belle. She decide not to dwell on that and to gather the rest of her friends to help find a way to get Rarity back. Twilight put Rarity’s bracelet in her saddle bag and pick up Spike onto her back. She told Sweetie Belle to come just in case the one who kidnaped her sister comes back for her. Twilight decided to go to Sugarcube Corner since it was closer to the boutique.

Twilight left the boutique and locked the door then  Galloped to Sugarcube Corner with Spike on her back and Sweetie Belle keeping up by her side.

‘’Twilight could this be Trixie’s doing?’‘ Spike asked hanging on to Twilight.

‘’No Trixie would have already shown herself and gloated. Beside she isn’t that powerful to perform a memory erase spell .’‘ Twilight said.

‘’Umm Twilight do I really have a sister? I mean I don’t remember having one. But was shw nice?’‘ Sweetie Belle said trying to keep up.

‘’Yes Rarity loved you very much Sweetie.’‘ Twilight said Looking at her with a sad look. It hurt her to hear that Sweetie Belle didn’t know her own Sister. It also hurt her to know her very good friend could be in danger.

They soon reached Sugarcube Corner and opened the door. Ms. Cake was boxing up what seemed to be cupcakes.

‘’o hi Twilight are you here to order something?’‘ Ms. Cake ask just getting done with the boxing of the last batch of cupcakes.

‘’No ma’am I need to ask Pinkie Pie to come with me. Somepony has kidnaped our friend and I need her and the others to help’‘ Twilight explained while catching her breathe.

Ms. Cake look shocked by the news and agreed to let Pinkie Pie take the day off to help find her friend. She called Pinkie from the back to come up front. Soon Pinkie skipped from out of the kitchen to the counter with five pies balancing on her nose. She then placed the pies in the counter and looked up to see Twilight standing at the door with Sweeite Belle and Spike.

’‘ o hi Twilight are you here to try our new superdoopertriplediplesweetntastydelicousyummyextraextreme fudge Brownie? They are mm mm good’‘ Pinkie Pie said with a smile on her face.

Twilight shook her head and told her the news. Pinkie Pie gasped dramatically at the horrible news.

‘’o no some super meanie kidnaped our friend that I don’t know but she is our fr..’‘ Twilight interrupted her and told her there was no time that they needed to go get the others.

Pinkie Pie nodded with a smile and said bye to Ms. Cake then skipped out the door with Twilight.

‘’ok we need to go to Sweet Apple Acers to get Applejack’‘ Twilight said.

Pinkie Pie and Sweetie belle nodded in agreement and start to head toward Sweet Apple Acers.

Twilight and Sweetie Belle where galloping while Pinkie Pie was skipping close behind them . As they where running Rainbow Dash was flying high in the sky with Scootaloo a flightless Pegasus filly on her back.

‘’Hey Rainbow isn’t that Twilight and Pinkie Pie with Sweetie Belle down there?’‘ Scootaloo said pointing down to the ground.

Rainbow Dash look down and saw that Twilight was running fast and had a worrying expression on her face.

‘’Yeah that’s them. I wonder what is wrong with Twilight’‘ Rainbow Dash said as she flew down there to meet her friend.

Twilight soon saw Rainbow Dash flying toward her and stopped for her. As Rainbow Dash landed on the ground Scootaloo jump off and ran over to greet Sweetie Belle.

’‘Hey whats wrong Twilight you look like you seen a ghost?’‘ Rainbow Said showing concern. Before Twilight even got one word out Pinkie Pie jumped in.

‘’Hi Dashie me, Twilight, Sweetie Belle, and Spike are off to save our new friend who has been captured by some nasty pony who wants her soul or something terrible like that so we are going to save her now *inhales* wanna come with us?’‘ Pinkie Pie said in one breath.

‘’yeah she is my sister’‘ Sweetie Belle said with Joy.

‘’wow that is so cool Sweetie Belle’‘ Scootaloo said.

‘’yeah she is also my girlfriend according to Twilight’‘ Spike said with a smug.

Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Pinkie Pie laughed at Spike while Rainbow Dash stood there with  a confused look on her face.

‘’I’m sorry what is going on?’‘ Rainbow asked..

Twilight became a little annoyed by this and told Pinkie ,Sweetie, and Scoot that there is no time for laughing. Twilight then turned her attention to Rainbow and told her the news on what is going on. Rainbow Dash’s expression change to anger.

‘’I’m sorry I don’t know Rarity. But I do know that nopony kidnaps anypony in my town. So ets get her back and kick this guy’s can’‘ Rainbow Dash said stomping her hoof on the ground.

Twilight nodded and then they went to get Applejack. Rainbow Dash was flying in front ahead of Twilight. While Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle where beside her and Spike on her back. Pinkie Pie was skipping happily behind her still keeping up. Soon they where in Sweet Apple Acers and Saw Applejack and her Sister Applebloom a young filly Earth pony  bucking apples.

Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo called out to Applebloom. Applebloom looked over and saw her friends with Twilight and Rainbow Dash coming toward her.

‘’Howdy girls what bring y’ll here?’‘ Applebloom asked.

Both Sweetie and Scoot talked at the same time and told Applebloom what was going on. But all she got was something about a monster pony and a pony named Jerry Tee being kidnaped. Applejack just got done bucking a tree that was next to Applebloom then wiped the sweat off her face. She over heard the fillies and walked over to greet Rainbow and Twilight.

‘’howdy Twilight and Rainbow. Did I hear sumthin bout monster ponies??’‘ Applejack asked confused.

Twilight then explained to Applejack what was going on just like she did with Pinkie and Rainbow.

Rainbow Dash had a confused looked on her face

‘’ umm we never picked up anypony named Pinkie Pie. It’s only been us.’‘ Rainbow Dash said.

Twilight looked confuse to what Rainbow Dash just said and told her Pinkie while pointing behind her. Ony to see that Pinkie was no where to be found.

‘’What!?..where she go?  Spike You Remember we went to Sugarcube Corner to get Pinkie right? You where there’‘ Twilight asked.

‘’umm sorry Twilight we went to Sugarcube corner to asked Ms. Cake did she happen to see the missing pony you where talking about. We never got anypony named Pinkie.’‘ Spike said.

Spike’s words where like a flame burning her ears. Twilight new that they went to get Pinkie at Sugarcube corner. That she was no way imagining it. Twilight sat there thinking about what could be happening. At the same time Rainbow Dash and Applejack came up to her and put their hoofs ‘ on her shoulder. Applejack ask if she was ok while having a concern look on her face. Twilight nodded all the while thinking who could do this? She new Trixie wasn’t powerful enough to do this and even so she would have shown herself and gloated by know. Crystalis wouldn’t do this simple because she feed on love and this wouldn’t benefit her. Also the Alicorn amulet was in a safe place hidden by Zecora in the Everfree forest.

‘’her guys look at this sweet bracelet that was laying on the ground.’‘ Scootaloo said while holding up Pinkie Pie’s bracelet

Twilight looked up at it and her eyes began to feel with tears as she used her magic to bring the bracelet to her. Twilight looked at the bracelet that belong to her happy go lucky friend.

‘’Hey Twilight who did you make that for?’‘ Rainbow asked.

Twilight looked at Rainbow dash and it all became clear. They forgot both Pinkie Pie and Rarity. That means all she had to do was use a memory spell to recover their lost memory. Twilight told Applejack and Rainbow dash this and they both agreed to it. So Twilight with hope in her heart used her memory recover spell on both of them only to have her hope broken. Not even a memory spell could fix this. Applejack and Rainbow looked at her with sadness in her eyes as they saw their friend look so depressed. Twilight new that this was some simple kidnaping that somepony  must be taking her friends one by one for what ever purpose.  Twilight held Pinkie’s bracelet in her hoofs. Applejack looked at the bracelet and her friend then walked up to her.

‘’I know you Sugar Cube. And you would never lie. If you say we have friends who have been kidnaped then by June bugs we have friends that where kidnaped.’‘ Applejack said comforting her friend.

‘’Yeah so lets go get Fluttershy and find a way to beat this evil pony’‘ Rainbow Dash said with a smile.

Twilight wiped the tears away and new this was not the time from crying. As she looked at both Applejack and Rainbow Dash she nodded then used a anti-magic barrier spell on all of them to prevent any unicorn from using magic but her on them. As she was done with the spell they all headed toward Fluttershys.

they arrived at Fluttershy’s Cottage Twilight walked up to the door and knocked. But no answer. She knocked on it again but the same. Twilight began to worry that Fluttershy was gone just like Pinkie and Rarity.

‘’O no what happened if she was caught by the creature?’‘ Sweetie Belle said concerned.

O ma gosh you don’t think?.’‘ Applebloom said.

‘’Applejack hushed applebloom and Sweetie Belle and she glared at them. Twilight didn’t know what to do. What if the pony doing all this did get Fluttershy? Can the elements be used with only three of them. Twilight soon began to sweat.


‘’o hi girls’‘ Fluttershy said walking around her cottage with a basket of flowers In her mouth.

Twilight looked beside her and saw her shy friend. Twilight was so pleased that she was ok she ran to her and hugged her. But the hug was short lived. Twilight could feel a dark void in her chest as she turned around and saw that both Rainbow Dash and Applejack where gone. Tears began to fell from her eyes as she dropped to her knees. Crying at the lost of not two but four of her friends. At that moment Twilight felt powerless. Not even her own magic could protect the ones she loved. She sat there crying in the grass. Fluttershy and the CMC comforted her and then helped her to the cottage to sit down. Twilight sat on Fluttershy’s couch crying. Everything was quiet, Fluttershy and CMC where around her trying to comfort her. They had no clue to why she was crying. Twilight sat there for five minutes in silence until another thought came to her. She used a anti-magic spell that no unicorn but her could break. But there was one who was above unicorns and even Alicorns.

‘’Fluttershy..I need to ask you a favor without question’‘ Twilight said in a low voice.

Fluttershy looked scared ‘’umm..anything Twilight. What do you need?’‘ Fluttershy asked softly.

Twilight then told her to summon Discord. Fluttershy was shock by what Twilight asked. Twilight told her she just wanted to ask him something that was all. Fluttershy looked at her and gulped before agreeing to it. The CMC ran and  hid behind the couch while Fluttershy called Discord. All a sudden in the middle of the room a huge puff of smoke appeared . As soon as the smoke cleared Twilight was ready to zap Discord. But only to be left speechless.

‘’D-D-DISCORD!?’‘ Fluttershy screamed.

There in the middle of the room was the spirit of chaos himself turned into stone. Everyone was in complete shock by this. Twilight couldn’t help but be in awe by this. While Fluttershy hugged the staue crying for him. It wasn’t Trixie or Discord or anypony that she new. She was completely clueless to who did this. Who was powerful enough to challenge a god of chaos? After a few seconds passed Twilight new that sitting around wasn’t going to do anything. She had to go back to the library and get the elements back. It was the only option, but she didn’t know how well they will work with two elements of harmony. She told Fluttershy to come with her to the library that their friend’s fates are in their hoofs. Fluttershy wiped her tears and agreed to Twilight’s plan. Twilight then gather them around her and used her teleportation spell to go to the library.

She soon teleported her and her friends to the library. How ever as they got there all was there but the CMC. Twilight started to tear up again. She knew they where gone and was about to fall apart until she shook her head. She new that she couldn’t cry not know. She had to get the elements of harmony or else it will all be in vein. She went to the book case and got the book that had the elements of harmony. She opened the book only to be in horror. The Elements her only hope where all gone. The pressure of it all was to much for her and the idea that all was lost consumed her. She broke down right there tears, flowing from her eyes. Spike and Fluttershy looked at each other then walk up to her and held her close.

‘’it’s ok Twilight we can get the elements back somehow I know you can. I believe in you’‘ Fluttershy said supporting her friend.

‘’Yeah she is right. Nopony is as smart as you’ Spike said.

Twilight just sat there in their embrace letting the tears flow down her face Fluttershy kept telling her that she will find it. Twilight felt her friend’s warm embrace. Fluttershy was holding Twilight tightly trying to comfort her. Fluttershy even cried with her. Her tears fell on Twilights cheek. Twilight only had her eyes closed enjoying what she might have left with her friends who where left. After a minute pass Twilight could no long feel Fluttershy embrace or her for that matter. Twilight opened her eyes only to see she to met the fate as the rest. Fluttershy wasn’t there by her side. Nor was pinkie or Rarity or Applejack or Rainbow. They where gone and it was only her and Spike left. But how long will it be until he is gone like the rest of them.

‘’Spike...I am all alone now. I only have you’‘ She said.

‘’I won’t leave you Twilight I promise’‘ Spike said.

The moment was cut short when Spike belched a letter up. Twilight smile as she remembered that Celestia would be able to help her. She was caught up in all of this that she forgot that Celestia can and will help her. Twilight had new hope as she wiped the tears off levitated the letter to read it. It said Dear Twilight Sparkle you are needed by me Princess Celestia at once. It is urgent. Twilight just new that Celestia was going to help her. Twilight grabbed Spike and then used a great deal of her magic to teleport herself all the way to the castle. In a flash Twilight was in the throne room with spirits high. But as soon as she saw what was awaiting her she became afraid. Their by the throne was Princess Luna and the other side was her brother Shining Armor and sitting on the throne was Celestia herself all turned to stone.

‘’do you like?’‘ A voice cam from behind her.

Twilight turned around. Only to have her and Spike’s Jaw drop. There before them was none other then Princess Cadence of the Crystal Empire. But she was different. She had a dark grey coat with black eyes and red pupils. Her mane and tail was fiery dark green. and she wore a crown, the black crown.

‘’C-C-Cadence? What happened to you?’‘ Twilight said stuttering and trembling at the sight of her beloved Sister-in-law

‘’I am not Cadence. I am King Natas the father of the fool Sombra’‘ He said with a heavy monotone voice.

Twilight ask how did this happen? King Natas smirked and explained that five days ago Princess Cadence accidently stumbled upon the black box that had the crown of darkness. Once she opened it her seeped his power into her body and then took over her mind and body. He allowed Celestia’s Guard to get the box to avoid any unnecessary suspicion. And while in Cadence’s body he learned all about Twilight and the Elements of harmony and everything that Twilight cares for. So he just wanted to take them all from her and have her suffer.

Twilight was frozen in her place by all of this but wa snapped back once Natas levitated Spike off her back and held him in mid air.

‘’Twilight Help!!’‘ Spike Pleaded.

‘’Say your good bye Twilight’‘ Natas said with a chuckle.

Twilight looked her Dragon friend and closed her eyes. She new she could let this happen anymore. She had to save her last friend from Natas. Even though he is in Cadence’s body she had to use magic on her.

‘’NO I will stop you!’‘ She said with anger.

She then used a magic drain spell on him. But it had no effect on him. she tried anti-magic attacks and everything. All Natas did was laugh and mock her while standing in one place throwing her magic spells aside. Spike pleaded to Twilight to save him and that he didn’t want to die. Spike then began to vanish slowly. Twilight screamed out to stop. But Natas just smiled and slowly made Spike disappear.

‘’Twilight...I don’t want to go. I lov...’‘Spike vanished into thin air.

Twilight tried to grab him but it was to late. He vanished into nothing before her eyes. She tried everything on Natas. But nothing worked. She failed not only her friends but family and mentor. Twilight fail to the ground, she new she had nothing else to fight for. Natas then shot Twilight with a magic blast.

‘’Why don’t you fight back?’‘ He said grinning.

‘’I..I have nothing...I have nothing to fight for’‘ She said with a final tear rolling of her cheek.

Natas then levitated her up and began to laugh.. Black and red magic began to consume her as she closed her eyes to wait for her demise. Twilight was in darkness with no hope, no friends, no family. She was in a sea of despair.

‘’is that it?’‘ A voice called out.

Twilight heard a familiar voice so she open her eyes to see she was in darkness. She called out to the voice.  But it didn’t answer her. She thought she lost it. Until she heard the voice again.

‘’Twilight Sparkle, I thought you fought for friendship?’‘ the voice said.

Suddenly like a film slide Twilight seen her friends all the adventures and fun they had. She also recognized the voice. It was Discord’s voice but how Twilight ask.

‘’I’m not really Discord just his voice over in your head. Before I was taken down I took the liberty in replacing the elements with your bracelets. Don’t tell me you forgot about friendship?’‘ Discord's voice asked.

Twilight then looked at her bracelet and her eyes twinkled. The bracelet glowed before her. Pinkie’s and Rarity’s Bracelet came out of her saddle bag glowing as well. It was at that moment that Twilight new she wasn’t truly alone. No her friends where there with her all along. In her heart. Tears of joy fell from her eyes began to glow.

‘’What do you fight for Twilight Sparkle?’‘ Discord’s voice asked.

‘’I..I Fight..I FIGHT FOR FRIENDSHIP!!!!’‘ Twilight said  screaming.

As her eyes glowed brighter she summoned Applejack’s from the doorstep at Fluttershy’s cottage. Then came Rainbow Dashes that was on her night stand. And last Twilight summoned Fluttershy’s that was at the library.

‘’good for you Twilight. O by the way I am only doing this for Flutters bye bye’‘ Discord’s voice said bidding Twilight fair well.

Twilight soon woke up and destroyed the magic energy around her. Her eyes glowed along with the rest of her body. She then had all six Elements around her. She looked at Natas .

‘’What but how can this be? I took your family and friends from you!?’‘ Natas said angrily.

‘’No you didn’t Natas. You may have made the vanish but My friends and family will live forever in my heart. That is something you will never take from me. And know in the name of Friendship I will destroy you!’‘ Twilight said charging up for one last assault.

‘’But your body...it can’t take this much power!’‘ Natas said as he charged up for his last stand.

‘’I know but my friends and family are worth it.’‘ Twilight said.

‘At that moment both Twilight and Natas fired their most powerful attacks. There was a huge ball of mac between them as Twilight’s body started to hurt and become weak. As it seemed all was lost She remember what she was doing this for. She was doing for pinkie pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, the CMC, her Family, Luna and Celestia. She couldn’t lose now. In was last effort she gave it her all. A huge shock wave then consumed the magic ball and started to make it’s way toward Natas. Natas was running out of steam and then was engulf by the magic blast. The evil that was in Cadence was forced out and dissolved into nothing. As the crown shattered into dust. Cadence fell to the floor unconscious. A huge magic blast swept all over Equestria and all of the ponies came back from the abyss. Luna, Celestia, Discord, and Shining where brought back from stone. Everything was back in peace.

The next Day  

It was a cloudy summer day in ponyville. There is sorrow in the air and sadness and despair. There are rows of ponies from friends to family. There are tears from the kindest ponies to strong and tough ponies. No matter if you are the element of laughter tears will fall today. The one who love there looks care not today and will generously let them fall. Tears from both young and old from blood to friends. Even the Princesses of the land can not help but shed a tear for this one. For before them lies a tombstone that reads. ‘’ in memory of Twilight Sparkle a true true friend. She gave not her life but her body and soul for those who she loves dearly R.I.P’‘
